Our Purpose
Silvi's name was inspired by an ancient Turkish word forgotten by the modern world: gummuservi. When literally translated, it means "the silver reflection of the moon upon still waters." But in that culture, it was used to imply something much more meaningful.
Gummuservi names the deep sense of peace with and gratitude for life one experiences upon witnessing a fleeting and universal beauty. Importantly, this feeling is not evoked in spite of life's finitude - but because of it.
This is why Silvi exists. Our filmmaking process and the films we deliver guide our clients into experiencing gummuservi. Not sad sentimentality or cheap nostalgia - but deep and lasting peace, gratitude, meaning, and love.
